Franchising the RNR Way

When RNR began back in 2000, we didn’t know that we would go so far so fast.  We had an idea, a lot of experience, and hope.  Now, we look back at how far we’ve come in the last 14 years, and we’re not just proud, we’re excited, because we know we’re still growing.  As of this year, we have 70 stores (60 franchise locations), with 11 franchisees and stores scattered across 18 states (with several more under construction and new franchisees signing on!).  We started franchising back in 2003, and we’re proud to say that we’ve made Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 for the past 8 years; most recently, we were even named number 1 in our Franchise 500 category.  We’re feeling the glow over here at RNR–and we’re still looking forward!

Our franchise business continues to grow because we know our business.  Our founder, Larry Sutton, has spent 40+ years in the rent-to-own industry, and he’s built a model that all of our franchisees have been able to successfully recreate.  Couple this with a corporate office that makes itself available with resources from advertising and marketing to training to stocking your first store–from the first day, RNR makes sure that each franchisee is successful.  Maybe that’s why so many of our franchisees open multiple locations and keep growing as well.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a background in wheels and tires; it’s helpful, but if you’re smart enough to recognize this kind of investment, we have no doubt you can learn everything you need to about the wheel and tire industry.  Once you buy your franchise, we’ll bring you down to one of our corporate stores in Tampa to learn everything from how to install a tire to managing accounts.  We’ll help you find the perfect location, order your inventory, hire and train staff, and anything else you need to get your RNR franchise location rolling.  And if you come in really green, don’t worry!  We offer an extended Discovery Week so you can actually come in and shadow one of our company-owned stores for a week and get a feel for the day-to-day business of running your own RNR location.

But it’s not just important to us that you know everything there is to know about tires; we want our customers to know everything they can, as well, so they can properly care for their tires and get the most life out of them.  Tires are a big investment, and when they are properly maintained, they last a lot longer.  We offer payment plans so that our customers can get the tires and wheels they need on a budget they can afford, so its important to us and to them that they are educated about their purchases (and for a little extra peace of mind, we offer our Road Warrior plan, a roadside assistance plan).  We take care of our customers and they keep coming back.  This is what makes RNR successful.
